HOW/WHEN TO USE:
Items such as plastic vaginal speculums used specimen swabs, used glucose test strips, anything contaminated by blood or other potentially infectious materials can be classified as biohazardous materials. However, items such as chemicals, alcohol, oils, pharmaceutical waste, batteries, etc should not be included. IMPORTANT: Red medical waste bags should not be disposed of along with municipal/city waste collectors. Only licensed medical waste contractors are allowed to collect and dispose of these red bags.
